Mello, Rodrigo

Description of research and teaching:

Dr. Rodrigo Mello is a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Vaasa (UVA) with a wealth of experience working on international projects. During his doctoral program, he secured one of the 15 highly competitive PhD positions funded by the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Action "Global mobility of employees" (GLOMO), an international research project under the Horizon 2020 research and innovation program. Capitalizing on his extensive international academic network, Rodrigo has published in esteemed academic journals, including the Human Resource Management Review, International Business Review, and Gender, Work & Organization. In addition to his research, Rodrigo has contributed to the European University for Customized Education (EUNICE) at UVA, a project funded by the European Union (H2020). This experience allowed him to design international business courses for students around the globe, utilizing diverse teaching methods such as MOOC and FLIPPING. Beyond his academic endeavors, Rodrigo brings practical experience from renowned multinational corporations like Anheuser-Busch InBev and Lanxess. Having lived in four different countries, he harbors a deep passion for understanding the impact of global mobility on individuals' careers.
