Description of activity
As a researcher and philosopher of public administration, I explore administrative ethics and the paradoxes of evidence-informed policymaking. I examine how public actors – individuals, organizations, and administrations – interpret and implement sustainability goals through ecological, economic, and social responsibility.
I have participated in numerous research projects, including a comparative study commissioned by the European Parliament, which evaluated the effectiveness of norms and practices in managing conflicts of interest among ministers and high-ranking officials in EU countries. Additionally, I have co-authored a book on the effectiveness of ethical conflict-of-interest policies: The Effectiveness of Conflict of Interest Policies (Peter Lang).
Currently, I am involved in the RELIEF project, where I research complexity-aware evaluation and the paradoxes of sustainability agency within the legal system.
I have extensively taught public administration, administrative ethics, and methodology (over the past ten years, I have taught 40 times on 25 different courses). Additionally, I have designed and coordinated bachelor’s and master’s level educational programs in two different disciplines.
